Acknowledgments

The compilation and production of this web site has been a major project that would not have been possible without the knowledge, time and cooperation of an extensive group of dedicated people. To make it easier to find where everyone made their contribution we have divided the production into a number of areas.

Programming & Database Design and Data Management
Alex Fahey, Unique Ideas Australia.
Greg Long formerly of Information and Assessment Section, South Branch established the first version of the database.
Database currently maintained by Michael Saxon.
Anthony Hutchings and Lorraine Oliver produced the distribution maps.

GIS Support
Phillip Glesson assisted with the provision and analysis of NSW Wildlife Atlas Data.
Shawn Capararo and Michael Saxon derived the sub-regionalisation of the CMAs. This was based on a draft sub-IBRA layer provided by Julianne Smart. Many thanks to Lyn Finch (Southern GIS Support Officer) for her patience in providing the project management team with frequent expert advice.

Associated Applications
This site links to the Www.bionet.nsw.gov.au and the web application NSW Native Vegetation Map. Thankyou to Gary Hyde and Ajay Ranipeta for all their work in establishing this.

Vegetation Information This site is strongly reliant on vegetation information derived by a number of staff from DECs Information and Assessment Sections including Shawn Capararo, Wil Allen, Tom Barrett, Tim Hager, Paul Sheringham, and Miranda Kerr. Dani Ayers from the Woodlands Ecology Unit project managed the complilation of this data.

David Keith allowed us to use much of the information from his publication "Ocean shores to desert dunes: the native vegetation of New South Wales and the ACT", (Keith 2004, publ. by the NSW Government). David wrote summaries of each of the vegetation classes for this website - his contribution is gratefully acknowledged. Liz Tasker and Lorraine Oliver organised the vegetation photos. Zarni Bear provided the summary descriptions of all of the vegetation formations. These are based on Keith (2004).

Additional Scientific Input Ken Turner, James Val, Vanessa Allen, and Darren Shelley all of the Department of Infrastructure Planning and Natural Resources provided detailed significant scientific and editorial input into many of the species profiles. Their input was invaluable.
