Bushrock Removal - Priority actions

Threat abatement strategy: Community and land-holder liaison/ awareness and/or education
Deliver a targeted education campaign to the landscaping and gardening industries regarding the biodiversity impacts of bushrock removal. Medium 
Prepare and distribute education and extension material to promote general community awareness of the impacts of bushrock removal on biodiversity. Medium 
Threat abatement strategy: Coordinate the recovery and/or threat abatement program
Coordinate the effective implementation of the threat abatement program. High 
Threat abatement strategy: Develop and implement protocols and guidelines
In consultation with industry groups and other public authorities, investigate options for reducing the impact of bushrock removal on biodiversity through incentive schemes, regulation and/or the development of codes of practice. Medium 
Prepare a National Parks & Wildlife policy directive on the use of bushrock in national parks. Medium 
Prepare and distribute environmental impact assessment guidelines for activities that involve bushrock removal. Medium

Determine where and how much bushrock is being collected in NSW, and which species are being impacted by this. High
