Develop community education and awareness material on impacts of removal of dead wood and dead trees (including the need for sustainable firewood collection). High 
Threat abatement strategy: Develop and implement protocols and guidelines
Finalise policy on firewood collection on land reserved under the National Parks and Wildlife Act 1974.Low 
Threat abatement strategy: Establish management agreements with public authorities CMAs and land managers/owners
Examine the effectiveness and/or need for joint agreements with other State jurisdictions to specifically address the isue of commercial collection of firewood. Medium

Promote and support industry-based scheme certifying compliance by firewood suppliers to the Voluntary Code of Practice. High 
Investigate the practicality of promoting commercial firewood collection from post-harvest woody debris in State Forest and private plantations. Medium
