Increase community awareness of the threat of cane toads, and how they can become involved in helping prevent their spread and/or report new outbreaks. Medium 
Threat abatement strategy: Develop and implement protocols and guidelines
With relevant industries, develop codes of practice to reduce the risk of cane toads being transported outside their established range. Medium 
Threat abatement strategy: Establish management agreements with public authorities CMAs and land managers/owners
Liaise with Northern Rivers CMA for inclusion of cane toads as a priority pest. Medium

Prepare statement of intent for cane toads in 2007.Low

Identify priority areas for control of cane toads, both within and outside their existing range. Medium
